Show Yourself Some LOVE!

I LOVE VALENTINES DAY!

I really do. I have always loved valentines day...it is a day full of love! I believe my love for valentine's day was amplified when I lived in New York City. Walking to work there were flowers, stuffed animals and hearts around every single corner. It felt as though the city was buzzing with love! 
.
I can say I don't believe that Valentine’s day is just a day for couples! I’m not sure I have ever really celebrated the day with a significant other, but there have been times that I have planned fun dinners with friends or a day to treat myself!
.
This year, Valentine's day is the perfect excuse to show yourself a little (or a lot) of extra love! I thought I would share a few ways that I show myself love on a daily basis -- because you deserve to show yourself love daily! Now, let’s get into a few ways that I like to pamper myself that you can add into your daily rituals!

1. A relaxing, slow morning with coffee and some boujee creamer

Even this morning, I ended up having a slow morning and enjoyed a cup of coffee in my inspirational mug. I added my favorite new creamer -- and I swear it makes a HUGE difference! It wasn’t necessarily planned but it was appreciated. I think any chance we can get to try to slow down a little bit is something we should take advantage of!

2. Cooling Face Roller Spa Feels

This face roller is one of my very favorites!! I absolutely LOVE to put it in the freezer for a few minutes before rolling my face. It is so incredibly soothing, I think it takes my stress levels down at least 10 notches!! I will typically use mine when I wake up in the morning or after I wash my face and am headed to bed. It is seriously the ultimate relaxation!

3. A Few Moments of Meditation

Meditation isn’t for everyone, I know. But I do think it is another “excuse” to spend a few moments with yourself and your thoughts. Sometimes I am stressed or anxious about something and it’s not until I take the time to meditate that I realize what that thing may be (And sometimes it's the most ridiculous thing and I can’t believe it’s been affecting my mood!) Some days I set a timer on my phone for 5 or 10 minutes and other times I use a guided meditation (I use the Headspace App, but there are tons of free guided meditations on youtube!) Maybe you can only take 3 minutes a day, but I promise, it's worth it!

4. Fancy Schmancy Nails (that you can do yourself!)

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed...but I love getting my nails done! I like finding fun nail trends and trying them out-- even if they are a bit over the top. Since covid I haven’t felt comfortable getting my nails done in a salon but I have found an awesome replacement that is super easy and I still have playful, funky options! 5. Five Minute Journal Entry
This is something new for me! I have never necessarily journalled, but this year I have decided to take on the challenge. I write 2 pages full each morning (I like the spiral bound journals because they are the perfect size for journaling 2 pages). I find it is similar to meditating, I end up finding things I didn’t know I was even thinking about… it just comes out on paper! I have only been journaling for a short time, but I have found it super helpful so far and would suggest giving it a shot!
