Rose Bowl Flea Market

I was actually unaware that there is an INCREDIBLE flea market scene in and around Los Angeles, one of the most popular being the Rose Bowl Flea Market. To be honest, I had no idea that it was such a huge deal -it is one of the most famous flea markets in the world and apparently people even go for celebrity spottings? I was completely unaware. I was solely there for the hidden treasures to be found while sifting through piles of old junk!
Don't get me wrong, I love junk. As they say "One mans trash is another man's treasure." I must say though I would not plan to go to a flea market - especially the Rose Bowl - unless you have around 3-4 hours you can kill. This place was huge with 2500 vendors. Like I said, I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Regardless, I had an amazing time and will definitely be back for more!

I am always on the prowl for unique finds - majority of the time I'm looking for jewelry. Who'd have thunk it. ;) I love finding vintage costume jewelry, a functionality that I've never seen before - like an interesting clasp, or anything that stands out to me. When I'm on the hunt for jewelry inspiration I'm not necessarily looking for quality or if the jewelry has value but more so does it spark an interest or make me smile. Scroll on down to check out some of my pics from the market as well as some of the jewelry that made my day!
