It is officially summer!! Woohooo! For me that means I am reading a little more than I usually do -- which is why I thought it would be the perfect time to share some books with you! These three books are all super easy reads that are bound to boost your confidence and add a pep in your step! Not only will they make you feel great about yourself, they are also all written with a good sense of humor and are sure to give you a laugh. I would go as far as to say that they have all significantly impacted my life-- I hope that you will find them as helpful and entertaining as I have!
.
Ohhhh and did I mention they are all written by badass women?? Yeah, there’s that too! So let’s get into it!

Book #1

You guessed it. None other than my daily obsession --- You are a Badass by Jen Sincero. This book was really the catalyst for my life changing! I was reading this book while living in New York. I don’t think I realized it at the time but I wasn’t really LOVING my life. I started reading this book and found myself skipping and smiling on my way to work.
.
I have read this book multiple times and even have the daily dose desk calendar to get a boost of inspiration each morning. There are so many things that I learned from this book it is difficult to choose which part is most important to share with you! I think the biggest realization for me was that we only get one lifetime -- so why do we limit ourselves and play it safe?? Why are we not bursting at the seams filling ourselves up with all the things we love-- why should people even have the time to worry about the way other people are living their lives -- they only have one too -- enjoy every single second and make the very most of it! Point blank-- if you haven’t read this book yet you are SERIOUSLY missing out and I don’t know what the heck you’re waiting for!

Book #2

This book was surprisingly inspiring to me and I really loved it! It had a fun whimsical element to it with so much great wisdom. I really appreciate the idea that all humans are meant to create in some way or another.
I specifically remember one snippet in the book where she mentions that women feel they have to be 99.8% qualified for a job while men only feel the need to be 41% qualified. That really blew my mind! It hadn’t been something I had ever really thought about but --- of course, if I’m applying I have to be 100% qualified for the job.. And is 100% really enough??? Most times, I feel like I should be overqualified….
.
It made me realize that things don’t have to be done perfectly, I don’t always have to be over prepared. I can try things and they might be wrong, and that's ok! You just gotta take the leap and go for it!

Book #3

.
Untamed by Glennon Doyle.
.
So... funny enough I bought this book for my mom last year on Mother’s day. I had picked it up and was planning to ship a few other things with it. When I opened the cover I saw that one of the chapters was titled “Blow Jobs”... I immediately questioned all the great reviews and wondered what the heck was wrong with me trying to gift this book to my mother!
.
I decided that I had to read it-- If I needed to get a new present then I needed to know! And guess what… I couldn't put it down! It was SUCH a good book and a new perspective I hadn’t read before!
.
I love how Glennon discovers and accepts herself and her journey throughout the book and encourages readers to do the same! It is definitely a great read to act as a reminder to live life for you!

My favorite thing about these authors along with the books that they have written is that throughout the stories they tell they are discovering who they really are and encouraging their readers to be more authentically themselves. I am always trying to find more of who I am and what I love -- those are the things that will give you all the confidence you need!
